I've added two new sections to the forum. "Fan Created Ages: General Discussion" and "Fan Created Ages: Spoilers, Hints and Tips". These new sections are for discussing fan create ages and artwork for use in MOULOS/OSMOUL. This way the General Discussion and Spoiler sections can be about the MystOnline ages (I'll rename them to make that more clear). I know this has a purest ring to it but it should help people who are not completely familiar with MystOnline UruLive, what is the original and what is fan created.

Also, at this time, these new forum sections are not the place to discuss how to create these ages (except in broadest of terms, such as the inspirations for creating an age). Creation process and tools should be discussed in the forums at the Guild of Writers and Guild of Maintainers web sites.

There has been much discussion about what is allowed to be discussed in these forums and what is not allowed. As we are making the transition to the open source of MystOnline code sources and fan created ages, the rules on discussing hacking and exploiting has become confused. Because this is on a Cyan Worlds web site, these kinds of discussions do interfere with our ability to pursue new business ventures. That is why this needs to be perfectly clear.

Here is the forum rules clarification:

Hacking - No discussion of or links to or the presenting of exploits of any Cyan game. This includes tools used for the modifying of or distributing of copyrighted materials such as game excutables, game data and game code.
Copyrighted material - No posting of copyrighted material. Links to copyrighted material should only be to the copyright holder of that material or a sanctioned holder.



It doesn't matter if you think or somehow justify in your own mind that it is right or wrong, stealing or not, moral or not, the fact of the matter is these kind of discussions do hurt our ability to do business. Please at least respect our ability to pursue our livelihood and bring you new and exiting products.
