So we each got it to rain in a part of New Mexico not known for its constant daily downpour. Is it raining there now all the time? Is it raining in just that one spot or everywhere in the southwest ? How far out does the rain go ? And won't folks in the U.S. notice that something is amiss with the weather?
IRL I used to work for NOAA and I am sure the Weather Service would have something to say about all that rain.
The only excuse I can think of is that it is "instanced" rain -- only falling on the instances of the Cleft area of New Mexico and therefore unseen by the local news station.
Ideas?

The instance theory is a good one.
Otherwise there would have to be some kind of supernatural cloak hiding the weather change.
Then that would raise the question of where does the water go ... down the Great Shaft into the cavern?

Well, there is that lake, but one would think that with all the rain the lake would sooner or later flood the city. Maybe the rain gets shifted so that it falls in Eder Kemo -- every few minutes.
