--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So, as I've been setting up FTPs and working on photo albums and door practice pages, I thought to myself, "what else does the Bevin want?"
So this thread is here to suggest resources that I can open up to the Bevin. I write PHP and JavaScript and can create MySQL databases, so I can create any number of handy resources for the Bevin. If there is something you want made that will benefit the Bevin (or the community at large), here's the place to ask for it!
Current Resources:
- Door Reading Practice Page [BETA]
- Project FTP account/space [PM me for info]
Upcoming Resources:
- Photo Album

The door practice page is fantastic, Richard. What a great teaching tool.
This is a must-see item for all our door team members.
Thank you so much.

We will need instructions for how to extract a ki image and turn it into a .jpg or .gif. Inanna can add that info to her Techie Talk. She is already elaborately on the use of print-screen to capture the entire scene but it is only good for one shot at a tme and the system must not crash while making the transfer to the desktop to open a paint program.
Under another topic I posted some ideas for teachers, one of which was for a chatlog library, arranged by topic and date. Perhaps this would be better handled on the webpage than here on the forum.
I am researching the use of recording live action with sound during the game. Do you think we could set up our own YouTube application on the page. We might be able to show videos of DRC honchos, Bahro, etc. in the bevin.

I know I can! I've been playing around with it for a while now. The only thing will be getting things in the right format, but I think I have a solution for that too. Once you give me the specifics of the output format, I'll create MTB-TV.

Live screen captures are a great idea... I do this a fair bit already for creating tutorials and such. Hmm, this might be of interest to Inanna as a class resource? Capture of one of our esteemed door-callers in action perhaps?

I am researching recording software for the computer. This would take images of both sound and movement from the screen.
The program I have been looking at mostly could be activated within the Cavern, would take a video/audio recording that could then be played back -- I hope -- from a link in the forum.
More news as it develops.
