I've been working since the first of the year for a publisher as the Sales/Marketing Director. I will be turning in my notice with that publisher along with my suggestions. He seems a bit incapable of running a business and dealing with massive life crap at the same time.

But in this process, I've teamed up with two other trusted colleagues and we're opening another publishing company together. One will be a full fledged partner in the business with me, the other will be the head of the ...

The newly updated and vastly improved diary of Lt. William H. Peel is finally back in print, in both hard and soft cover. This time I got to review a galley (ok, whole bunches of galleys) and have pulled out many of the errors that plagued the first edition. I have updated the annotation, added new images, and made much prettier covers -- and it is vastly less expensive than the first edition (soft cover will run $19.99 plus s/h, hard cover about $5 more). All that remains of the publication ...

This book is actually published by a small press publisher that I work for. It's really not the type of book I'd normally pick up, but because it's my job, I'm reading all of them for reviews. This one kept my attention and I really got into the main character.

It's available by E-book comes out in print in August, as the first in our line up that actually goes to print.

Copy of the press release...

Mr. Monk Goes To Germany by Lee Goldberg

If you like the tv series, Monk, you'll love the book. Written by one of the screenwriters, Lee Goldberg, it's a hoot! Dr. Kroger goes to a conference in Germany and Monk follows him because he's unable to go without his three times a week sessions. It's fun reading how a small German town that would charm any of us really gets to Monk with the cobblestone streets and uneven houses.

Inside you learn about his fear of the one-legged cannibal living next door to him, the true secret of ...

Six Seconds by Rick Morfina

I've had Rick as a friend on FaceBook for quite awhile now, so I thought I should actually read something of his - so I did this weekend. Six Seconds is climbing the charts in both US and Canada.

After reading the book, I can see why. I can also see a movie deal coming out of this book. He does an excellent job of taking characters from East coast, West coast, the Great Plains, Canada, Africa/Iraq, and the Pope - and weaves their storylines together into one major event at the end. ...
